GLP currently owns land and assets with approximately 600 MW worth of data center capacity in Japan and is looking to increase that to 900 MW within the next five years, which would make GLP one of the leading data center operators in the country. GLP expects to break ground on its first Japan data center campus in Greater Tokyo in 2023, with the first building expected to be ready for service from 2024.

Previous Case study China Data centers GLP is one of the largest vertically integrated data center operators in China with over 500 team members and assets that will provide over 1,400 MW of IT capacity. In 2021, GLP delivered the first phase of a 120 MW data center campus in Changshu High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Jiangsu Province outside of Shanghai to one of GLP’s existing e-commerce customers. In China, 100% of our data center developments meet GB-A/T3+ standards and we target a PUE of less than or equal to 1.30.
