GLP Partners with Haier to Develop State-of-the-Art Logistics Network Across China
- GLP will develop a state-of-the-art logistics network distributing home appliances for Haier, their suppliers and distributors nationally

Singapore, 10 September 2012 - Global Logistic Properties Limited ("GLP"), one of the world’s largest providers of modern logistics facilities, with a market-leading presence inChina and Japan, announces that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Haier Group (“Haier”), the world’s leading home appliances solutions provider, to develop a state-of-the-art logistics network for the distribution of household appliances across China.
Mr. Ming Z. Mei, Chief Executive Officer of GLP, said, “Haier and GLP are both market leaders in China. Combining GLP’s market leadership and expertise with Haier’s relationships with home appliance distributors, we will further accelerate our network expansion and will be able to provide enhanced services to both Haier and our other customers.”
According to the agreement with Qingdao Haier Industrial Development Co. Ltd., an arm of Haier responsible for managing the group’s industrial facilities resources, GLP and Haier will collaborate closely to develop and operate logistics facilities catering to Haier’s requirements for logistics centres across China. The partnership will combine GLP’s leading national platform and solutions with Haier’s strong market presence. The result will be an expanded customer base for GLP within the home appliance distribution industry and further supply chain optimization for Haier. Both companies will also integrate strategic resources, including capital, land sourcing and management expertise to build specialized parks for the home appliance industry in prime markets across China.
Work will commence on three initial projects in Shanghai, Tianjin and Chengdu, over the coming months, with expansion into additional markets to follow shortly after.
