GLP Embarks on Net Zero Smart Park Redevelopment Project in Putuo, Shanghai
GLP’s first logistics park in Shanghai to undergo sustainable redevelopment after 20 years in operation
Shanghai, 30 November 2022 – GLP announced that it has embarked on the redevelopment of GLP Park Shanghai Northwest in Putuo District into a flagship sustainable smart park to provide logistics and cold storage for e-commerce, food and grocery, pharmaceutical industries as well as third-party logistics providers. With a gross floor area of 81,847 sqm, it is the largest logistics park in the area and serves as a core hub in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Through sustainable design and architecture, the redevelopment project will upgrade the facility according to international LEED green building standards. The park will be equipped with rooftop solar panels and electronic vehicle charging facilities to encourage the transition to green energy and improve energy efficiency for the park’s tenants. Upon completion of the project, GLP Park Shanghai Northwest will have seven double-storey buildings with an estimated leasable area of 165,000 sqm.
