GLP-Brookfield Renewable Venture Acquires 40.6MW Solar Portfolio
One of the largest single distributed projects in central China
Pufeng New Energy, a GLP-Brookfield venture, has acquired a 40.6 megawatt (MW) solar portfolio in Ezhou City, Hubei Province. This transaction significantly strengthens the position of Pufeng New Energy as one of the leading distributed generation platforms in China.
The acquisition project, which has been operational for more than two years, covers a 35MW grid-connected distributed photovoltaic (PV) platform and 5.6MW for self-consumption, spread across the rooftops of 29 warehouses owned by Vipshop, one of China's leading e-commerce companies. It is one of the largest single distributed projects in central China and generates approximately 41,298,700 kilowatt-hours (Kwh) of electricity per year, reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 33,787 tons.
